Puma Releases Africa Wilderness Collection

Sports wear brand PUMA just launched their first Wilderness Collection in Durban, South Africa. Comprised of footwear, apparel, and accessories this initiative will be tied in with PUMA’s 2012 Outdoor Range. Outdoor functionality and resistance to heat are the underlying factors when designing this collection.

94% of the line is produced in Africa, some at the Wildlife Works eco-factory in Kisigau, Rukinga in Kenya thereby making a significant contribution to both social and environmental sustainability in Africa. 81% of the apparel styles use Fairtrade cotton, providing opportunities for small-scale farmers, while also promoting sustainable developments.
